Field Day

Sign up to volunteer: SignUpGenius

Thank you so much for your time and effort in making this year's Field Day the best it can be. Unlike previous years, we will be combining the Panther Run 1K runs with the Field Day Events for all students. For this reason. We are asking volunteers to sign up in 8:00-10:15 shifts, 10:15-12:30 shifts, or even all day shifts, so as not to disrupt the 1K runs as they circle the neighborhood. Some of our exciting volunteer opportunities include chopping up watermelons for 360 children, filling water balloons, announcing game changes on the megaphone, awarding prizes to hula hoop contest winners and so much more!!! So go ahead, take a look, and know how much we value your participation, hard work, and enthusiasm.

The 13th annual Wood Gormley Panther Run, benefiting Wood Gormley Elementary Scool (“WG”), will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2017. We invite you and your organization to become a sponsor and be part of our community for this exciting event.

Imagine over 400 Children nervously anticipating the biggest event of their year. The blast sounds, and off they go-FAST. When the end is in sight, it’s a push and a sprint to the finish. Each Child’s face glows with excitement and accomplishment as they cross the line the the adulation and cheering of their own community.

The Panther Run is a community celebration of childhood health and education in a fun, safe environment. It consists of a 5K run, a 2 Mile Walk, and a grade-level Kid’s 1K Fun Run. Last year’s race attracted nearly 600 participants, with 1000 in attendance. The 5K goes up Old Santa Fe Trail to Museum Hill with a start and finish at WG. The shorter race takes place at WG.

Becoming a sponsor is the opportunity to link your business with a well-established community event. It also supports one of the highest performing elementary schools in New Mexico. We take great pride in our achievements and are committed to the future of our children. The Panther Run is one of the most important fundraisers and sponsorship is key to its continued success. WGPTC is a 501(c)(3) tax free organization and your donation is tax deductible.
